Patreon has been a place where ordinary people have joined us to support our work and help us make more videos. Some of our videos have taken OVER 60 HOURS OF WORK to edit and prepare for publishing (yes, for a single video).
Thanks to the comments we receive we know that we have saved people hundreds of dollars (our DIY saildrive seal replacement video has been very helpful for others, as one example).
Many people tip bartenders, waiters, or coffee servers, who may have given a few minutes of their time to provide a service. We have been blessed that a number of people who appreciate the time we dedicate to making our videos have decided to 'tip' us for the videos we produce. We are eternally grateful for this and WE LOVE OUR PATRONS!

Blue Robotics Inc offered us one of their incredibly useful BlueROV 2 ROVs! Chris used to earn a living as a ROV Pilot / Supervisor offshore, and he had wanted one of these for years!
We have already cleared rope from our prop (in freezing, dirty canal water) using the ROV, and we can't wait to go exploring shipwrecks, recording underwater video in exotic places, and even be able to simply spot our anchor without getting wet, thanks to our BlueROV 2!

Orca contacted us and offered us some of their navigation equipment (an Orca Display and Orca Core 2) in exchange for honest feedback and a review from us. We have started using the Orca Display and are loving it so far.
We will be installing the Core 2 at a later date and we will be reporting our findings to both Orca, and our viewers. One thing is for sure: Orca are going to massively disrupt the market for boat navigation equipment, which has been dominated by a few big names for a long time.

Chris has been on Jimmy Green Marine's mailing list for almost 20 years and has always loved their products and services, so when it was time to replace the standing rigging on Britaly, the team in Beer, Devon, were our first choice.
We simply boxed up our old rigging and posted it to the Jimmy Green Marine. They then took all the measurements from the rigging and we were able to have new rigging made like for like, at an extremely competitive price.
The new rigging will be fitted once we reach the Mediterranean, and we will be very happy to have solid rigging components made up by an expert team of UK riggers we can trust.

Indel Webasto Marine Provided us with a complimentary GE-150 "fridge kit" in exchange for an installation video. This video has over 130,000 views to date and has helped many people install fridge kits on board their boats.
The team at Indel Webasto Marine were so happy with the results that they contacted us and have sent us an electronic control unit for our fridge. We will install this once we get further South and we will be making another video to help anyone else who is interested in fitting one of these energy-saving units themselves.

Brinno Provided us with a complimentary BCC300 timelapse camera. We will be using this on our travels to record timelapses of our journeys and the world around us (clouds, tides etc.)
